I just wanted to let you all know that I'm not going to get this updated for a bit. Someone stole my laptop & that obviously makes blogging a bit difficult. It'll have to wait until I get back to the States (I'm in Japan right now).
My name is Ari and I was a PCV in Ghana '06-'08. Now I'm in Chiang Mai for the summer on a program sponsored by law school, doing an internship with an NGO. Chiang Mai seems cool, but I'm really interested in learning about Thailand and while Lonely Planet has a lot of fun ideas for how to spend my time here, that's not exactly what I'm going for.
So it seems you've left Thailand, but after 2+ years here I'm sure you know a ton of people, and I'm hoping that you could connect me to PCVs within 5 hours or so of Chiang Mai who wouldn't mind if I paid them a visit. Yes, I realize this may seem a bit unconventional (or maybe you get one of these a week?), but I'm hopeful that some PCV in Ghana is interested in having a random american drop by. After 2 years in Ghana, I can imagine that being possible.
