Inlay Lake

After Bagan, we went to Inlay lake...and it was gorgeous! Our hotel was on an island so we had to take a long-boat to get there. It took about 45 minutes.

The water looked like this...

And our hotel. We had a nice little bungalow right on the water...which made for amazing views!

You could actually cross a few "bridges" & walk to this small little village.

The views were stunning!

We were walking along the path & there was a water buffalo taking a bath.I had to get this one for Chad.
The sunset was stunning!
The sunrises were just as beautiful!

We had a boat take us to the market & some old temples/pagodas. It was very interesting to see the houses...you can't just run next door to borrow an egg!
This house had a pig living on the porch!

Everyone was out on the water doing their laundry or just playing. The temples/pagodas were just as neat as the ones in Bagan (there were just more in Bagan).
There were naked kids everywhere (Chad made me take this pic).
Chad decided to join them for a swim...sometimes it sucks being a girl (especially when it's 105 outside & there's a beautiful swimming hole, but you don't have your suit)! Here our guide is showing us how they prepare the betel nut that they chew. They put Lyme on a leaf with tobacco & the betel nut, roll it up and chew it.And Chad eating a coconut.

On our last day there, we explored the town a bit...this was the "parking" mess we found. We stopped at a little tea shop to have a cup of tea & they brought all of this food!We had to fly out of Yangon, so we had one more day there, but we didn't do much because it was pouring. Chad got his camera fixed, and then lost it a couple of weeks later (but that's another story). It was an amazing trip...I would definitely recommend going if it has ever crossed your mind!
